You can’t write anything on your blog and you are writing for your audience and search engine bots. It’s your responsibility to present content worth to both of them.

Meta Title: It is the title of your article which Search Engines show in their search results. It can be around 55 – 60 characters including space.
Normally, the Article title (or) H1 tag will be used as the Meta-title, and in blogs, we can see the different titles for better CTR. Include focus keywords to tell the search engine that you are mainly targeting this keyword.
Meta Description: It describes the entire information in the article in about 320 char and it is what shows in search snippets by search engines in their search results.
You should add your focus keyword, keyword phrase, LSI keyword in your description meta tag so that it increases keyword relevancy and also, pull people to click your result in the SERP pages.
Meta Keyword: It is the word which your entire article is focused around. Tough Meta keyword is not such important you can still use for ranking. Hence, there is no need to describe more on this.
Meta Robots: It tells the search engine to either index the article and follows the links (or) pass the article while they were fetching your site data to index into their database.
Normally, the default tag will be “index, follow, noodp”.
Canonical: This tag is used to inform the original source URL of the article to index. This will be much useful in E-commerce sites. It helps to eliminate duplicate content issues.
A well-optimized SEO content writing consists of two different phases, one for Search Engine Bots and one for people.
Your content will have two sections where you are going to concentrate on.
- The first section is for Search Engine Spiders otherwise called Robots, Bots, Crawlers, etc. They use to index a page based on the content written in the Meta Tags only.
- Search Engine spiders or bots will crawl your site page and first they will index your Meta Title, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords.
- Then, it will compare what is written in those Meta tags with the rest of the body content and index accordingly.
- Hence it becomes necessary to write Optimized SEO content for Meta Titles, Meta Description, and Meta Keywords.
- The second section is the Body section for visitors where the actual article was written and this is where the user will read.
- It should be presented neatly so as it may pull visitors to stay and read the entire article.
- Add keywords in Meta tags so as Spiders can easily come to know about our article.
- With optimized Meta tags, you surely have the potential to drive a maximum amount of traffic to your blog post.
3. Proper use of Header Tags
AS you see, a perfect optimized SEO content writing is all about the proper presentation that will get better ranks because of more user engagement in the article.
Header Tags are therefore called Emphasized text on the page that stands out from the rest of the content. They are used to differentiate the heading and sub-headings in the article from the rest of the content.
H1 is the most important header tag and it should be the Title of the Post.
Remember, header tags are for people and Meta Tags are for robots.
Both contents should be similar, so add the content in the H1 tag to the Meta Title tag also. Add your Keyword in these two tags.
Other header tags will occupy order as H2, H3 . . . . H6 and they should be a Heading or Sub-heading of each paragraph section in the article.
Break your lengthy article into sections and provide heading and/or sub-headings using these header tags will give more value to your article.
Header Tags must be written in sequence, that is Article title must be H1, and the very next heading or sub-heading must be H2 and then H3 and so on.
H3 Tag should not occupy the first position before H2 or H1 and this may lead to warnings. By default, the Post title will be the H1 Tag and the next heading will be H2, and so on so.
- Article Title(H1) is for people (Should include primary keyword)
- Meta Title is for Robots (Same as H1 Tag)
- Meta Description should be seductive enough to make visitors click your post in the search snippet.
- Use Header tags in priority such as H1 comes first, H2 comes second and H3, H4 … H6
4. Image Optimization
Too much text is too boring to read and people usually leave too sooner. It’s not a college admission test or an academic exam that grades you based on the amount of content you were written.
It is somewhat different and if you want your readers to stay longer and read your content, you should support it with proper appropriate Images and Videos. 100Lines of the text were instantly observed with one image, a famous saying.
You can add support images for each paragraph to let readers know what exactly they will be going to read through. Always write content about something you care about so that it may engage visitors.
So, images can be easily understood by readers. What about search engines in this case and how will they understand images? The answer: – Add Alt tags in the images.
Use Alt tags in your Images will help search engines bots to understand what your page is about?
Include Keywords in those alt tags will improve your page rankings. Google won’t understand the content in the images so you must add proper image names and alt tags.
Many people making a big mistake in naming images, so remember to always add relevant names(Usually sub-heading or keyword or key phrase) to the images.
Use the same name in Image Alt tags also so as search engine bots also can read exactly what users were reading and what the image is about?
This will help you in Google image search. When people search for an image name, more chances for landing on your article page through that image.
5. Anchor Links to Other Pages [Internal Links]
Anchor Links (Hyperlinks) are the links to another web page or an article that is relevant to the present topic. It helps readers to stick around your blog post for the longest time.
Whenever you write a new article, remember to give a link back to old articles that are related to any keyword or key phrase in the article.
This will make readers stick around your blog posts for a longer time and it may lay a chance to search engine bots to re-crawl these old posts.
Bots may re-index and give a boost to the page ranking.
Internal link building is an art of passing link juices to different articles in a blog to boost overall domain authority.
This helps reduced Bounce rates and more user engagement, better navigability to search engines. An important On-page SEO factor to consider.
