Now we will run through Blog Setup Process with the technologies we have in hand as discussed at Stage #2.
Once was the day, that only techies can able to design a website or a blog, but today with the introduction of CMS such as Word Press, Wix, Google’s blog, it became easy to design a blog in minutes.
After you register a domain name, the hosting company will provide you a cPanel login details where you can access your account in their Web Server.
Normally, you will purchase a hosting for one year and you hold full rights on the server until expiry or renewal.
After you got your cPanel details, login into your account and navigate to the Softaculous section to find WordPress Software.
Click the Icon and fill the necessary details such as Installation path, login details, theme’s etc. to start the installation.
Just hold on to complete the installation and your blog is ready to launch. Start writing your first post and publish it to the world.
This is the precise step in this process, but we are going to discuss every step in detail with pictorial representations for easy understanding.
If you not doing it correctly, then your blog may not be user-friendly to bots and your blog visitors.
You need creativity and knowledge to handle these technologies to complete this blog setup stage successfully.
Ok, let me proceed with the process.
PHASE #1: WORDPRESS INSTALLATION
The first process in your blog set up was the Word Press Installation process. It is quite easy and does not require any technical skills.
Carefully watch each process of your Word Press Installation.
When you purchased a hosting, you will receive a cPanel to access your web server. Login to the cPanel and navigate to the section called “Softaculous”.
There, you can find Word Press image and click on the image will take you to the installation screen.
There will be a form where you need to fill in all details such as Protocol, Version, Directory, Login details, and the theme.
Initially, choose the default theme and click install, and then wait for some minutes till the progress bar reaches 100%.
Alas, your blog is ready with all things to publish your first post but wait; you need to customize it to align with your business.
We cannot use the blog directly without customizing it to fit our business. No problem, we can run through this process further at this stage.
Note: After your default theme installation, log in to your WordPress Dashboard and navigate to theme section to install the new premium theme you purchased.
PHASE #2: CUSTOMIZE BLOG SETTINGS
Installing WordPress in your domain may take just 2 – 3 minutes only and this is not everything enough to run your blogging business.
You need to customize your blog settings to fit your business needs because WordPress default settings will be aligned with the theme author time zone and environment.
After you installed your Word Press, there is no need to access your blog through cPanel because Word Press has its own admin dashboard where you can handle every process like writing a new post, publishing, editing etc.
Your default WordPress login URL will be given after your WordPress Installation.
The sequence of this process is as follows:
Login to WordPress dashboard >>> Settings
Name your blog (Site title), tagline, reset time zone settings to your location, Date Format, Weeks starts on etc.
Then move to Writing Tab, in this section you need to select default post category and post section.
In the Reading Tab, you can select . . . . . . . . .
Then move to Discussion Tab,
PHASE #3: INSTALL PLUGIN’S
Plugins are required to make your WordPress blog super duper platform for your online business. You may have the list of plugin’s already noted in your Blogging handbook.
Now, it’s time to install all these things right away. To start this process, navigate to the network settings > Plugins > Add New.
In the search bar, type the plugin name to retrieve from the WordPress database. Once you saw the plugin, locate the button, “install now”.
Click the button to install and then press the “Network Activate” button to make the plugin work with your WordPress theme.
Repeat this process for all plugin installation and don’t forget to activate them all.
Once, you are done with the installation, you need to proceed with setup process to make it work(Plugin setup).

PHASE #4: CREATE CATEGORIES
This is the first part of your article publication task. Creating categories is more important because it helps you to frame a structure for your blog.
So, break your blog content strategy into different categories that help you focus on creating effective content for your different target audiences.
The category should be in the niche where your domain name was registered? Keep an eye on the same.
Normally, it’s recommended to choose 3 – 4 Category at your initial stage of blogging because to avoid overburden in your blog management.
Also, you cannot able to concentrate on creating effective content, neither you cannot solve the need of your blog audiences.

PHASE #5: DELETE DEFAULT PAGE / POST
Normally, Word Press installations have one default page and post. You should delete this before publishing your first content.
Search Engine bots will crawl this page and post and index them along with your other articles.
Normally, the default page and post will not be optimized for Search Engine ranking, which will cause a bad effect at your initial stage of indexing.
When the user sees this default post and page in your blog, they will think your intuition was just to make money and not to provide anything useful.

PHASE #6: COMPLETE YOUR PROFILE
It is also called an author bio. It is a must and gives your blog a real face of your business.
Normally, it will be shown at the end of each article. You should write a sentence or two describing about yourself and what you do? While what you specialize with?
Also, you can add your Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus link along with it.
For Image, you should create an account with Gravatar and use the Email ID with this WordPress to display your photo.
PHASE #7: PUBLISH YOUR FIRST POST
At last, your blog is completely ready to publish new posts and pages. Now, write your first blog post and publish in your blog.

PHASE #8: LINK GOOGLE SEARCH CONSOLE AND ANALYTICS
After you have configured your blog and published your first blog post, it’s necessary to submit your blog to Google and other search engines.
This can be done very easy and you can follow this article for further detailed information.
First, create an account with Google Webmasters, Google Analytics, and Bing Webmasters.
Second, verify your site using any one of the verification method – HTML tag, Google Analytics method, HTML file upload method etc.
Third, submit your sitemap and choose the preferred version for indexing.
You can generate a sitemap from the Yoast SEO plugin.
That’s it, wait for another few hours and you can see search engine has crawled your blog and started indexing it.
This is the most crucial part because webmasters are the only communication tool between you and the search engine.
How to check for an index?
Go to Google Search Engine homepage and type site:yourdomain.com , to fetch all the indexed results of your domain from Google Data Base.
