WHY BLOGGING DOES NEED A CONTENT MARKETING STRATEGY?

It helps your blog prepare and plans for a reliable, cost-effective sources to generate traffic to your blog.

It also helps to get new leads. It’s not about the quantity of the content you have on your blog that determines success.

Even a blog with just one Blog post that receives a steady volume of organic traffic, can generate new leads every new day.

An effective content marketing strategy should benefit both the blog owner and the target audience visiting the blog.

The blog owner generates some revenue for his life and the target visitor can learn something new that helps to get new products or services awareness.

Now, we will move on to the most important phase of content creation. All businesses were started by targeting any particular group of people from any location.

Blogging business also works on the same principle and before starting the blog, you should identify your target audiences.

PHASE #1:  IDENTIFY AUDIENCE

Content creation starts with identifying your audience. You cannot write anything on your blog and expect to succeed in your business.

If you write something that is not relevant to your blog niche, something that is not relevant to your blog readers, will not bring you success.

If you start a blog just for an experience, you can then write blab la contents. But, we all do a blog for money and we should have the audience to visit our blog to read or use our services or buy the product we recommend.

Write for Readers, understand what they expect, give them a solution or set them a path to travel in the right way is the true success of blogging.

It’s being a hard time for your blogging startup, but do not think holy craft, blog setup process is completed.

No, now only the actual phase started.

Now comes the most challenging part of your blogging, and it was “Coming up with New Blog Post Ideas”.

You have audiences and products or services to sell, but how you market those things through your blog.

Writing contents such as articles or reviews or testimonials is the proper way to deliver the products or services you offer on your blog.

Now I am going to show you some tools that are needed and vital for our content marketing strategy.

IDEA #1:: Site: Search formula

This is a handy guide that I use the most every day to hunt for new contents. This works very similar and allows you to make a premium Google search targeted within a particular blog or website.

This is how it works? Open Google search engine and type as follows:

site:actualsite.com [search query]

This formula derives all the results from the destination blog. Now it’s your turn.

IDEA #2:: Google Search Console

This is one of the best handy tools that help yours with an effective content marketing. You can check a lot of things like the number of the pages indexed, total backlink your site have received etc.

Also, when you navigate to “Search Queries” section, you’ll be able to see a table showing a search query, impressions, CTR, and clicks.

You can download this entire data in an excel sheet and can be used to analyze the volume of keywords that your blog rank for.

This is an effective tool, which I use frequently to compare my ranking criteria’s.

 

PHASE #3: INSTALL EVERNOTE

This is another handy guide that you must have with you in your blogging business. You can use it to catch everything on the go and use it later for your blogging.

You can edit, save, and write new articles, research notes, short notes and everything. Evernote lets you save voice recordings, text, images, and web pages. You can access it later from anywhere and on any device.

Ever note comes in Mobile version, desktop version, and web apps version. One best feature is that all the three versions sync automatically as long as you are having an active internet connection.

You can work offline, and it’ll sync the next time you connect to the Internet. It’s a safe to store your notes, contents etc.

 

PHASE #4: WORD2CLEANHTML

It applies filters to fix all things added into the HTML documents, resulting in well-formatted HTML you can use on your web-page.

When you draft a post from your CMS into Microsoft Office, Evernote, you will see a lot of weird characters that cause the hectic process of cleaning up before publishing.

But when you copy the content into this software and with just a button press, it cleans up everything and makes it ready for pasting into your CMS.

 

PHASE #5: INSTALL GRAMMARLY

When you read an article in the newbie blog, you may notice a lot of grammatical mistakes, sentence errors etc.

Grammatical mistakes annoy your readers and let them close your blog earlier. Also, most search engines consider English Grammar and writing style as one of the least ranking factors.

You should not take a risk of losing your traffic because of these minor mistakes and hence I recommend you to use Grammarly to write your contents.

Both free and premium versions are available. If you are using Google Chrome, you can download an extension for use.

PHASE #6: USE HEADLINE ANALYZER

A report says: 60% of people click the link in the search engine result pages after reading the killer Headline of the article.

H1 tag or article title is the first factor that compels your blog readers to keep reading your article.

So, you should put some extra effort to come up with really a great article title including your primary focus keyword.

It scores your headline quality and rates its ability to catch attention, traffic and SEO value.

Another similar paid tool was Thrive Headline Analyzer, which is available as a plugin with Thrive themes.

 

PHASE #7: INSTALL ADOBE PHOTOSHOP

One image can speak 1000 Words. You can see many blogs that perform better in the search results even with little or fewer contents.

But, they have very high-quality images that explicitly convey the whole message in the article.

You should add media such as Images, GIFs, Animations, and Videos in your article to give your user a pleasant experience to sit and read the article.

You can either hire an image creator or you can create by yourself using PhotoShop.

Use high-quality images in your articles and put more attention in every image of your article.

SUMMING UP:

  • There are so many tools available, but it’s not necessary to use all of our business. Use only the needed tools so that content creation task does not burn you.

8.1.) Subscription to other blogs:

Do you think you were the only one running your business in this industry?

Of course, not, there are already many influencers and marketing giants in every industry. Remember, the Internet is vast and old.

You can learn a lot of things from them, helps to keep you updated with latest happenings and hot topics in your niche.

You can always stay updated within your niche industry. So, find all relevant blogs in your niche by following this advice in this article – Competitive Analysis and Keyword Research.

List all your niche market influencers, content marketing strategist blogs, competitors etc. and subscribe to all those blogs.

Follow all their updates, notification emails, newsletter emails and take a note in your Evernote to read later.

8.2.) Quora:

There are some categories in blogging that is purely built for discussion purpose only.

Here, you can create an account to participate yourself, ask questions or get answers from other’s questions.

In any way, you can gain more knowledge in your niche industry.

Specifically, I should recommend QUORA, BizSugar, Scoot IT.

Quora is a question, answer site, where people of similar minded has taken part in the blog to discuss anything.

BizSugar and Scoop IT works similar to Quora with a slight difference and it was people use to post something useful either what they learned? Or what they recently published? Or what they recently researched?

You should first visit these blogs to get some ideas on how do they work? Am sure you will end up more new blog post ideas that help you with your content marketing plan.

 

Schedule time to write new contents:

You have necessary tools, and blog content ideas with you, but you should set a preferred time every day to write your contents.

If you do not spend time daily to write your content, you could not able to come up with your blog.

Write at least few lines of contents (say 1000words) every day to meet your goal.

Publishing new contents more frequently will help you drive more traffic to your blog and keep it updated.

There are some tasks to perform after writing the content. To be open, it was called as On-Page Optimization.

Content Writing is an art, and not just filling pages with English alphabets.

  • It should have a value,
  • The content should be informative,
  • The content should be useful,
  • The content should be presented well.
